Directly above the flat where the composer Bedřich Smetana was born, the apartment has an area of 72 m2, and is furnished in 19th century bourgeois style. The main feature of the reception room is the seating with its view of the chateau, the bigger bedroom has a double bed (length 195 cm, width 200 cm), and in the smaller bedroom there are two single beds (length 180 cm, width 90 cm). The central room is the dining room with kitchen, and the apartment also includes a bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet.

You can enjoy music with a collection of gramophone records from various genres.

 

2 ARTISTIC Apartment - Olbram Zoubek

For a maximum of 2 + 2 people

1 bedroom (double bed), living room with sofa bed (additional bed for up to 2 people), dining room with kitchen, bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet

The ARTISTIC apartment with an area of 89 m2 is formed from the flat in which the four excellent Czech artists Olbram Zoubek, Václav Boštík, Zdeněk Palcr and Stanislav Podhrázský, stayed in the 1970s and 80s while restoring the sgraffiti adornment of Litomyšl Chateau. The reception room is reminiscent of that period, although it is however now also the dining room and kitchen. The second room is divided into a bedroom with a broad double bed (length 205 cm, width 180 cm) and a living part with a sofa and two armchairs. From these you can enjoy the view of the chateau’s facade and arcades, or of the life-size statue by Olbram Zoubek and the pictures of the other three artists which adorn the apartment.

There is an artist’s easel with supplies for your own artistic activities.

 

3 LITERARY Apartment - Alois Jirásek

For a maximum of 2 + 2 people

1 bedroom (double bed), living room with sofa bed (additional bed for up to 2 people), dining room with kitchen, bathroom with bath, separate toilet

The LITERARY apartment on the second floor holds reminders of a range of writers who lives and wrote in Litomyšl. The works of Alois Jirásek, Božena Němcová, Teréza Nováková, Jan Neruda and others fill the bookshelves in the entrance hall. The colour scheme of the spacious living room with kitchen and dining area is black and white like the pages of a book. For relaxation there is a sofa bed, while for sitting back with a good book there is an armchair with a little table. The light and sunny bedroom with a double bed is furnished in Mediterranean style, a reminder of the Litomyšl author Martin Kabátník, one of the first travel writers. The size of the apartment is 76 m2.

You can record your own creative efforts on a typewriter, but there is however also available a laptop with printer.
